{"id":909,"date":"2010-08-28T15:25:28","date_gmt":"2010-08-28T20:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/watches.cyberphreak.com\/?page_id=909"},"modified":"2010-08-28T15:25:28","modified_gmt":"2010-08-28T20:25:28","slug":"seiko-sq-quartz-1990","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/watches.cyberphreak.com\/?page_id=909","title":{"rendered":"Seiko SQ Quartz, 1990"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>This is one of my latest finds (which was free, since I am a  \u2018good\u2019 customer) is a  Seiko Quartz watch from 1990.\u00a0 It was in pretty  sorry shape when I got  it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_quartz_scratched.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"seiko_quartz_scratched\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_quartz_scratched-300x212.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" \/><\/a><a href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_quartz_11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"seiko_quartz_1\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_quartz_11-300x276.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"276\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pretty sad looking for a watch which probably cost about $100 new,   just 20 years ago!\u00a0 Well, here is where Brasso and some hard work come   into play!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/watches.cyberphreak.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_sq_clean.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1005\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/watches.cyberphreak.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/seiko_sq_clean-195x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After about 10 minutes of polishing and cleaning, then 5 minutes on the polishing wheel, this is the   result.\u00a0 The watch almost looks brand new now.\u00a0 It also has a stainless   steel case, so it is a perfect replacement for my base metal Timex   beater.
