A Seiko Kinetic Model SKH640 Two Tone watch.
This was my daily watch for about 5 years. It is a Kinetic watch, which means it is a quartz movement that is powered by a rotor, like an automatic watch. The quartz movement is very very accurate. Over 2 months, the watch loses about half a second! My wife, Tiffany bought me this watch around the time we got married. It is a beautiful watch with typical Seiko quality. The band is solid links, with a two button deployant clasp. The watch has held up very well to daily use. Despite what some may say about Hardlex compared to Sapphire, unless you are crazy abusive to your watches, it is more than adequate.
Features:
Case: 36mm diameter, stainless steel, 30m water resistance.
Back: Stainless Steel, screw down.
Crystal: Hardlex, flat.
Movement: Kinetic, 5M62, Seiko in-house design, Made in Japan.
Complications: Date
Other: Solid, stainless steel bracelet.
The gold makes the watch look classy, but the polished stainless steel makes it a little more down to earth. It is my dressiest watch. I am sure I will enjoy this watch for years to come. I like not having to change the battery and the fact it depends on my motion to stay charged. Speaking of that, the watch has a 6 month power reserve. The watch is unchanged after being on the market over 5 years. It is still $200+ as well. This is the watch that introduced me to Seiko and is my first ‘real’ watch i.e. not a $30 Timex.
